Sheryl Underwood is a American comedian, TV host and actress who is famous for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl was born in Arkansas and was raised at Little Rock, Atwater and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by a difficult family. She spent most her childhood caring for her ailing sister Frankie. As a teenager, she experienced an uneasy relationship between her parents. Sheryl stated that at one point her mother had stabbed the father of her child due to her proximity to him. When she graduated from college Sheryl entered the military. Her passion was comedy. In 1989, she was the first woman to make the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. She began her TV career in 1992, when she became a frequent performer in the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she was host of the show Oh Drama! In 2011, she began appearing in The Talk as co-host. Also, she's played fictional characters in shows such as Bulworth Nikki, Bulworth and Beauty Shop.
