Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a writer from Greece, a syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television personality and the owner of the independent free online news publication The Huffington Post. She emigrated from Greece to England at the age of 16 and earned an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it at the age of 21. Her success as a columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she graduated. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online voice portal that offered an honest assessment of the current politics. The fame of Arianna helped to attract several famous contributors who shared their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna became famous when she ran in California's recall vote, replacing then Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes declared her to be as one of the "most influential female" in the media industry with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the president of the AOL media group. It was comprised of several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos who was a management and journalism consultant. She was extremely close to her father. But it was her relationship with her mother who formed her. Even in her formative age she demonstrated her leadership skills and is a household name. In the year she turned 16, she moved from America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college, she joined Cambridge Union's colleges debating societies, where she eventually became its first foreign and female president. In 1972, she earned an advanced degree in Economics. Following after graduation she became a journalist and TV host. Also, she appeared on the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from Bernard Levin.
