Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez has worked as an Cuban and American TV arbitrator ever since Caso Cerrado. Ana Polo Gonzalez was raised in Havana Cuba and moved with her family to Miami when she was two. In Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is the host of the prestigious Telemundo show "Caso Cerrado" which is the first Spanish programming to be nominated for an Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award. The show was ranked in 2015 as the number one Spanish-language program at 4pm across the key demos. Polo completed her studies at Florida International University with a diploma in political science. She was born in Havana on the 11th of April 1959. After that, she earned her PhD in law at the University of Miami. For twenty years, she practiced law in Miami. Following her PhD at the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for more than 20 years. Polo made her first appearance on television in 2001, as part of Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. Her legal skills were also used for other court-related programs. Literature Accolades She published Los Hijos Muertos in 1958. The novel was awarded the Critic's Prize, and The Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute emigrated to the United States after leaving Spain in 1960. Polo, who is also a breast cancer patient and cancer survivor, is often quoted about the cause she is fighting. She has fought for LGBT rights all throughout her life. She has been in the Florida Bar since 1987 and graduated in law at the University of Miami School of Law.
