Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek was born in Mexico and was born to Spanish-Lebanese parents. She came from an Latin American Roman Catholic wealthy family. She was inspired by the age of a girl to pursue a career as an actress after watching the film "Willy Woonka and The Chocolate Factory'. Her confidence was high to venture into the world of cinema after attending Mexico City's 'Universidad Iberoamericana.' The first time she acted was for a part in the Mexican television show "Teresa." Following her move to Hollywood, she was cast as the role of Antonio Banderas in the movie "Desperado.' After that, she was cast in 'Fools" and "Wild West' among others. Her role as 'Desperado, of Once Upon a Time in Mexico was repeated. Then she founded the production company 'Ventanarosa'. Her debut film was the Mexican El Coronel No Quien Le Escriba. The film was Mexico's official submission for the Oscars for 'Best Foreign Film. Her production as executive director of "Ugly Betty" was a further accomplishment. The 59th Primetime Emmy Awards nominated her for "Outstanding Actress in Comedy Series" in the role of Sofia Reyes. She has also endorsed products like 'Revlon' and 'Avon which is why she has created her own collection of makeup, skincare, and hair care products dubbed "Nuance.'
