Her part in the role of Willie Scott (an American nightclub singer and performer) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by her future husband Steven Spielberg, is her most famous role. The film features her in Dreamscape (1984), Power (86), SpaceCamp (1986), The Black Rain(89), Love Affair, Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1895) and The Love Letter (1999) In the years since, she has continued be a star. The portraiture work of Capshaw was displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was a child of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a beauty and travel agent, and Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee). She was five years old when she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw received a degree from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She was the Special Education instructor at Southern Boone High School Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School Columbia, Missouri.
